I have always managed to keep safe while traveling; I had never been stolen from. But I have always been a champion when it comes to misplacing my wallet. Naturally, when I buy a new wallet, I tend to get two of them at the same time. However my last wallet seemed to be really attached to me. I had forgotten it several times – once on a plane from Montreal to Frankfurt, and another at a hostel in Bangkok and finally in Vietnam. And both times it was returned to me after 2 months.

 
Unfortunately I had no such luck when I visited London. At 1am in the morning, I had to walk around for 3 hours in search for my hostel using a basic map of the city, without a penny, no less. This city is definitely different – it is either the city noise, its odors or faces of the people who paced its streets. Despite the cold, I discovered another side of the city that I fancied.
 
Nonetheless, I repeated the same experience in other cities as well as in my own city.
